About UHPC GFRC (The Concrete)

Traditional concrete uses rocks and sand "glued" together using cement to create foundations or slabs. That is poured over steel rebar to reinforce the tensile portion of the concrete, to make it less brittle and prevent structural cracking. The strength of that is roughly 3500psi, and is just about the cheapest way of making a foundation.

GFRC stands for glass fiber reinforced concrete. This replaces rebar with glass fibers that form a structural matrix throughout the concrete to improve its strength and weight.

UHPC stands for ultra high performance concrete. UHPC typically removes the rocks (rough aggregate) from standard concrete, and uses finer mesh sands to make a denser structure. It frequently uses pozzolans (cement additives) as well to help with this strength and density.

The mix I use for my pieces is a UHPC GFRC, combining both of these technologies listed above. This creates concrete that performs up to 20,000psi compared to the typical 3,500psi of traditional concrete. This allows for projects as thin as 1/2". For reference a driveway is typically 4-6". The density makes for a stain resistant surface, further enhanced by the sealer. The sealer used is also a penetrating style, that converts the top layer of concrete into an almost glass like finish.

Nobody else in NWA is making concrete like this. I would be happy to send a sample to anyone curious.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
